CT Partition Gold™ offers the perfect blend of expansion and penetration on medium and large game at a wide range of impact velocities. The front half of this unique projectile is a drag-resistant, long-ogive softpoint that flattens trajectories and expands uniformly while retaining weight, even when velocity has dropped off at long range. The rear core is constructed of a hard lead alloy, locked in place with a heel crimp to prevent core slippage and reinforced with Winchester's patented steel cup to prevent core distortion at high impact velocities. This construction maintains the rear core integrity after impact, maximizing penetration.

1. Lead nose–special alloy helps initiate reliable expansion for maximum shock, even at lower impact velocities.
2. Thin forward jacket–forms large diameter mushroom on impact, providing tremendous tissue destruction and large diameter wound channel.
3. Long ogive–increases long range energy by optimizing the ballistic coefficient.
4. Heavy jacket midsection–resists complete nose destruction on impact and retains additional mass for greater shock; each jacket is precisely matched to caliber and bullet weight for ideal blend of expansion and penetration.
5. Thick, integral partition–protects rear core when impact is on bone, gristle or at high velocity and allows tremendous weight retention, supplying momentum for deep penetration.
6. Winchester's patented steel cup–prevents rear core deformation and allows bullet to maintain its shape, making penetration to vitals possible from most shot angles while minimizing chance of post-impact bullet deflection.
7. Lead alloy rear core–provides mass and maintains momentum to drive bullet deep into vitals.
8. Thick rear jacket with positive heel crimp–eliminates possibility of core slippage or separation, even during short range/high velocity bullet impacts on tough hides or bone.
9. Molybdenum Disulfide exterior bullet coating–reduces fouling, pressure and friction between bullet and bore. (also available Moly-Free™)
